Welcome to our big home!
Parador da Montanha was born from the dream and dedication of a family who, in 1995, envisioned a place that would be, above all, a great home. In 1998, Bubi and Zanza Petersen, along with their children, got to work and built a space designed to warmly welcome guests. The idea has always been to create a haven of peace, where the value lies in hospitality, shared stories, and memories of travels and life.
Located in Rio dos Cedros, at an altitude of 800 meters, surrounded by waterfalls, lakes, and valleys, the European Valley of Santa Catarina offers tranquil summers, as well as romantic and enchanting winters. A perfect setting for those seeking harmony with nature.
The Parador's style is unique: fallen tree trunks, wood chips, earth, plants, and stones compose the environment. Objects brought back from travels reflect the family's philosophy and love for nature. Small details create a cozy atmosphere with touches of sophistication. Here, living in harmony with oneself means listening to the birdsong, the crackling of the fire, and even the grass growing.
Breakfast
Exclusively on Saturdays and Sundays, we serve bread, cakes, cold cuts, omelets, fruit, yogurt, juices, and homemade regional delicacies for breakfast.
We prioritize fresh ingredients, grown by local producers, valuing the origin and authenticity of the flavors.

Pet Friendly
At Parador da Montanha, welcoming your pet is always a joy, and we don't charge an extra fee for it, because we understand that they are part of the family.
Our property is home to large dogs, who protect and care for the environment. Therefore, we only accept pets accustomed to being calm inside the cabin.
Before taking a walk around the grounds, please inform the caretaker. They will check if any of our dogs are nearby, ensuring that the walk is safe and peaceful for everyone.
In this way, we maintain a balance between welcoming your pet and preserving the harmony of our space.
